Hypordress silver is a sterile adhesive island dressing on thin polyurethane film. Totally waterproof, breathable, bacteria proof and extremely elastic. The round corners prevent the dressing from peeling off easily. The acrylic adhesive is hypoallergenic, skin-friendly and suitable for long term applications. The highly absorbent viscose central wound-pad, with its metallic silver non-adherent layer, performs a 100% natural antibacterial action and doesn’t stick to the wound. The silver ions - released in the pad environment - get in contact with the bacteria surface and kill the dangerous micro-organisms, granting the microbiological control of the dressing. Indications: it is effective for a wide spectrum of bacteria, such as Pseudomonas Aeruginosa and Staphylococcus Aureus. It performs its action for several days depending on exudation. It must not be used on already infected wounds since the antibacterial action is performed on the exudates and not directly onto the wound, excluding the silver ions absorption.
