Advanced wound dressing
PHMB foam dressings
Advanced dressings infused with PHMB for infection prevention
Enhanced protection with antimicrobial action
Plastod’s PHMB foam dressings combine effective exudate management with powerful antimicrobial action, preventing bacterial colonisation and infection. The incorporation of polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) offers prolonged antimicrobial efficacy, significantly enhancing patient safety and healing efficiency.
These dressings are ideal for managing infected or at-risk wounds, supporting healthcare professionals in reducing complications and improving overall healing outcomes.
PHMB foam pad
Non-adhesive PHMB foam dressings are made of an antimicrobial substance, namely polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB). They are suitable for treating chronic or acute wounds, moderate to heavily exuding.
The integration of the PHMB into the pad guarantees these medical devices’ microbiological control, reducing the risks of infection and favouring the healing process. On the other hand, B-panthenol enhances the moisturising of reepithelisation tissues.
PHMB foam shaped heel
At Plastod, we design non-adhesive PHMB foam dressings composed of a particular antimicrobial substance, i.e. polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB). These advanced medical devices are conceived for the treatment of chronic or acute wounds, moderate to heavily exuding.
The presence of the PHMB inside the pad ensures wound dressings’ microbiological control, hence lowering the risks of infection and facilitating the healing process. At the same time, B-panthenol improves reepithelisation tissues’ moisturising.
Bordered PHMB foam dressing
PHMB foam dressings are made of an antimicrobial substance, namely polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB). They are suitable for treating chronic or acute wounds, moderate to heavily exuding. The PHMB absorbs microorganisms from the wound exudate and, thus, counteractings bacteria colonisation or spread.
This can prevent wound infections and/or limit their spread. The self-adhesive edge ensures that the foam wound dressing stays securely in place. Therefore, no further fixation is required.
Pattern Bordered PHMB foam dressing
For these dressings we use polyhexanide (PHMB), an antimicrobial substance acting as an antimicrobial barrier. This element absorbs microorganisms from the wound exudate and, hence, counteracts the colonisation or spread of bacteria within the wound dressing. As a consequence, it can prevent wound infections and/or limit their spread.
Its self-adhesive edge ensures that the foam wound dressing stays securely in place. Therefore, no further fixation is required.
